To participate in Mr. Wallick's merit badge classes, you must:
Before signing up for any of my merit badge classes, please obtain approval from your Scoutmaster. This means getting a signed blue card. Don't have a blue card? No problem, you can use this fillable blue card PDF.
Unit leaders may issue a digital blue card by adding me as the merit badge counselor via Scoutbook. My BSA Member ID is 136435580.
No scout will be permitted to participate in a merit badge class without a signed blue card (physical or digital).
Each merit badge has its own registration form. Just visit the merit badge you are interested in taking, and click the link for the registration form. If you do not register for a merit badge class in advance, you will not be permitted to participate.
Prerequisities are work that you must complete before the first merit badge class. Some merit badges may not have any prerequisites, while others may require written submissions for class, independent research, additional reading, etc.
It is important that you come to each merit badge class prepared. This allows us to have more interesting, thoughtful discussions, and we will end up learning more from each other too. Plus if everyone is prepared, classes move faster and are more enjoyable.
Please plan to arrive at the class location 5-10 minutes early. I am always early, and I start classes on time.
Don't forget to bring your signed blue card.
Bring a pen/pencil and paper/notebook.
Wear your Field Uniform (Class A). If you have a reason you are not able to wear your uniform, try for your activity uniform (Class B).
Please be respectful of our meeting location. We are grateful for being allowed to use the space.
If you require any accommodation, please let me know prior to the first class. I am flexible as long as there is communication.
